"Just wanted to let you know we had a great time at the Anvil Campground this past weekend. The sites were great and the campground was wonderful. Thanks for all you did. Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you.   Were contemplating a weekend trip over New Years if you are open.

Thanks again and we’ll definitely be back!!"

"My wife, son, and I just stayed at your campground this past weekend, # 53 we had a great time and I really appreciated RJ'S help. The campground was very clean and had a really nice family feel to it. The bathrooms were immaculate, which pleased my wife greatly. The sites were also nice; I did not even have to level my RV. The up-to-date hook-up sites were fantastic. We are going to recommend you're campground to our friends. I will e-mail some pictures of our time there at Anvil. Feel free to use them."

Our overnight section was very nice. Back in sites, but easy to get into. Full hookups with good power. Bus stops out front to take you to Williamsburg. Be prepared to PAY to get into Williamsburg location. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Is there a train? Yes, however it never blows it whistle. We did not find this to be a problem and we did not hear it at night in our camper. The office staff is very nice and helpful. It is super clean. It is a bit tight however, we did not feel this was a problem. You are in a resort area and there were still lots of trees and shade. The sites are level with gravel, a picnic table, and fire ring. It has a small swimming pool. The maintenance man and his dog are great! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an interesting little park sandwiched between the road and the railroad track. We did not find the train traffic bothersome but some might. It was a clean and tidy park and the staff were friendly and helpful. We actually used the swimming pool because it was so hot during our stay. The pool area was clean and well kept. The park is located conveniently close by old town Williamsburg. We had no problem negotiating either the pull through site or the local area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Clean park, restrooms, and pool, a well tended park. Has full hookups including cable TV. Really glad for the Williamsburg bus stop right at the campground, we were able to go to Colonial Wmsburg, Water Country, Busch Gardens w/o driving. Yes there is a train track, but hey it's an urban area! Our spot was on the highway side, most sites are shady, some are not. We enjoyed our stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The campground was great. We stayed in one of the cottages. They were set up very nice and was very clean. We were only minutes away from everything. The people that worked there were great. They gave us suggestions for dinner our first night and were quick to get us checked in and when we checked out. We plan on returning and staying longer. We wouldn't’ consider staying any other place. Thanks for everything!

The staff was friendly and helpful in every way possible getting us set up. The park was clean, the bathrooms were clean, all hook ups worked good. It is one of only two campgrounds that have the city buses stop at, and it only cost $1.50 to ride it all day. Yes it does have trains but they don't run as often as other people say they do. You have to watch your little ones from wondering off, but that is what you are suppose to do, it's a law. Other than some noise from the trains, it's pretty quiet.
