Our event is part of the Williamsburg Harvest Celebration being held November 4 - 13, 2016. Featuring over 30 culinary inspired events hosted in Williamsburg, Jamestown & Yorktown highlighting VA chefs, farmers, foragers, authors and beverage professionals. Come celebrate community and gathering together this Fall.
Event Details:
Family friendly event at one of America’s oldest campgrounds, Anvil Campground, with Fish Fry provided by Uncle Russ’ Dockside Seafood Market. Feast on fried flounder, pulled chicken, cole slaw, potato salad, hush puppies, cookies, brownies and fire roasted camp s’mores plus a hot chocolate bar with toppings, sweet tea and lemonade. Plus enjoy live music by Merritime with Tony Bob Merritt. Take home fresh local seafood, homemade sausages, local bloody mary mixes, handmade spices from Uncle Russ' Seafood Farmers Market. Big Island Aquaculture will be on site offering Monday Creek Oysters for sale. Monday Creek is the body of water located between the Chesapeake Bay and Mobjack Bay in Gloucester, Virginia. The oysters are surface raised oysters, which mean they are grown on the top of a water column, which in turn gives you the cleanest oyster possible with no mud, sand, or grit flavor. Come learn about the oyster life of our rivers. Kona Ice food truck will be offering snow cones for purchase. York River State Park, Wallermill Park, and the James City County Fire Department are scheduled to be in attendance and promoting outdoor recreation and fire safety. There will be lots of activities to enjoy with arts & crafts, a scavenger hunt, playground, arcade and corn hole. Event will be held rain or shine. Parking is onsite. Strollers, chairs and coolers (plastic & cans only please -NO GLASS) are permitted. Only service animals are allowed. Tickets will be available at the door if the event is not sold out. Don’t miss this unique event!
