Shuttle Bus Operating Time:
- Monday to Saturday: 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Holiday Closures:
- New Year's Day (January 1)
- Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November)
- Christmas Day (December 25)
Fares:
- All-Day Pass - $3.00, Reduced Fare - $1.50
- 7-Day Pass - $15.00, Reduced Fare - $7.50
- 30-Day Pass - $45.00, Reduced Fare - $22.50
- Reduced Fare is available to seniors ages 65+, Medicare customers, and people with certain disabilities. In order to receive Reduced Fare, you must show ID proving eligibility every time you board the bus or trolley.
Transportation for the Disabled:
- WATA provides door-to-door paratransit service for people who are unable to use the fixed route buses and/or deviated route buses due to a disability as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act. ADA complementary paratransit service is transit service offered to people within ¾-mile of the fixed routes and during the same days and hours of operation.
- Once eligibility is determined, customers can schedule trips by calling WATA at (757) 220-5493. All originating trips must be scheduled by the close of business the day before the requested trip.
- The Paratransit fee is $2.00 one-way and $4.00 round trip.
Regulations:
- Please remain seated until the bus stops
- Notify the driver in advance by pressing the touch tape when you want to depart the bus
- When you depart, please do not walk in front of the bus. Wait until the bus leaves so you can look both ways and safely cross the street
- No radios except with earphones
- No food or drink in open containers is allowed on buses
- No littering or smoking is allowed on buses
